At 9 a.m. on July 17, the sun was shining in the sky.

In front of GiantKONE Elevator Co., Ltd. parked a row of seven large vehicles, which came from all over the country to pick up the products. The guards on duty at the gate said that it was like this every day in front of the factory gate from the beginning of the year to the present.

Hot sales of elevator are not news in the local area. On a taxi to Nanxun, the driver told me: “Three days ago, I took two customers who came from Shaanxi to visit the GiantKONE.”

In this regard, Dan Tan at the sales department had the deepest feeling. She said that, from the beginning of the year to the present, he will receive four or five dial-in customers for inspection. On July 10, the company came from Anhui, Jiangxi, Tianjin, Inner Mongolia and other places to come to 23 batches of customers. They arrived in Shanghai, Hangzhou and other places to arrange an inspection tour. The whole company was busy. Into the production workshop, full of lively scenes. Some of the workers are manipulating instruments, some are carrying forklifts to transport materials, and pieces of “box cages” were quickly generated on the assembly line.

What I have seen and heard made the information I previously searched on the Internet weak. There is no doubt that the demand for elevators is closely related to the ups and downs of real estate. The slightest sign of trouble in the real estate industry will bring a lot of fluctuations to the elevator manufacturing industry. Since the second half of last year, due to the impact of the international financial crisis, the domestic property market has encountered a "Cold stream" that has not been encountered for years. Behind the "Cold stream" is the dilemma for many elevator manufacturers.

However, in the background of the real estate downturn, GiantKONE achieved increase against all odds! According to Chairman Qian Jiang, in the first half of this year, the company's orders increased by 39% year-on-year, and its domestic market share ranking also rose from the 11th in the country last year to the 9th. Jumping into the top 10 in the country, it is from a farsighted vision!

In 1978, Giant Company began to produce elevators. As the earliest enterprise to obtain manufacturing licenses in China, it has worked hard for many years and has accumulated solid foundations in product structure, management model, team building, factory conditions, market network, service system, etc. The provincial famous trademark and provincial famous brand products, the province's first batch of green enterprises and other honors, its production of GP2000 passenger elevator also won the national new product award.

In the face of achievements, Chairman Qian Jiang clearly knew that to make further improvement, win-win cooperation is imperative. As a result, in 2005, GiantKONE and GiantKONE Elevator Co., Ltd., which is a joint venture with the globally renowned KONE Corporation, launching a new round of transformation and upgrading.

The cooperation has enabled the integration of the advantages and resources accumulated by the two parties over many years, and the newly formed GiantKONE has exhibited unprecedented development momentum. In the past four years, the turnover and the number of orders grew by more than 50%, creating a miracle in the industry.

Meanwhile, the company's branches throughout the country were also in full swing. A staff member of the Ministry of Communication and Public Relations provided a network map showing that, except for Tibet, GiantKONE has established 34 branches in all provinces and cities nationwide that link more than 300 agents nationwide.

With continual improvement in product quality, sales and service networks, GiantKONE’s products have gradually gained ground in the north and south of the country. In 2007, during the construction of the infrastructure of the Beijing Olympic Games that attracted worldwide attention, its products appeared in the Capital Stadium. Not long ago, t 13 elevators that won the bid for Shanghai World Expo 2010 China Shipbuilding Museum.

While expanding the influence and improving the reputation, these have also undoubtedly expanded the market opportunity for the products. Wang Jianhui, Deputy Director of the Department of Contract Management, said that GiantKONE’s footprint is visible in almost all high-rise buildings in large and medium-sized cities across the country.

Storms and waves resistant through accumulation over the years, the performance today shows the real capabilities of the enterprise!

During the interview, I happened to meet the head of the elevator inspection department of the special equipment testing center of the city. After many years of research on the elevator market, he said that the financial crisis will surely bring about an industry reshuffle, and that companies can only ensure that they are safe and sound when storms strike. And GiantKONE is one of them.
